Use Less Stuff: Conserve Resources And Reduce Waste.
Sometimes, you come across a website you had never seen before but wish you had made yourself. Two days ago I found the website for The ULS Report – The Use Less Stuff Report, which aims to help people use less stuff in order to reduce waste and conserve resources. They have developed an easy to understand Life Cycle Analysis CalcuLessâ„¢ Environmental Impact Analyzer that “provides a simplified analysis of many of the major aspects contributing to the environmental impact of packaging: greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, and post-consumer solid waste.” Sure wish more companies would do this kind of homework! The people at ULS have done Life Cycle Analysis studies on everything from coffee packaging to grocery bags, and even do some certification work on packaging products. While it seems as the the site is not updated too often, I do hope they continue to do this work.
