Do One Thing: Don’t Buy A Product Without An Ingredient List.

With more and more companies putting full ingredient lists on their products, there really isn’t any reason to buy from a company that won’t. After all, if they won’t tell you what is in the item they are selling you, what is in it? What are they afraid of letting you know about? It started with natural cleaning products (Seventh Generation is great at being honest with their ingredient list), but now food products and almost everything else is swinging over to the “full disclosure” side. Personally, I don’t buy anything (if I can help it) that won’t tell me what is inside it – after all, I will be using it either around me or in me! So Do One Thing, and start checking for ingredient lists!

LOL! Some of us don’t purchase things with an ingredient label (processed “food”).

I was searching for a particular spice the other day at a regular grocery (not able to get to a health food store), & not one of the brands of the spice i was checking had an ingredient list. Made me a bit nervous, but i’m sure if they had added MSG or something horrid it would have been listed. It is an ingredient usually safe from pesticides, but i try to usually purchase organic, from the health food store, spices.

Three important exceptions to this otherwise very good rule would be beer, wine and liquor. None of them are labeled. Along with cigarets, which is actually fairly perverse as far as I’m concerned.
