Do One Thing: Use Refillable Pens

This week’s Do One Thing is a very, VERY simple one – use refillable pens. Over six billion pens are thrown away each year in the US alone, and that plastic may not decompose for hundreds of years. What can you do to help? Buy a few pens that you can just replace the ink in and keep the plastic out of the environment and landfills. My favorite pens are the Pilot G2 gel pens which are very easy to find refills for. So Do One Thing and get yourself a pen that you never have to throw away!

Fountain pens are even better. You can simply refill them with bottled ink, so there isn’t even an empty refill to throw away. Also, they’re wonderful to write with, so elegant and classy.

People are such no brainers and most of them thieves, if you bought a reusable pen most people would lose it or most people would get it stolen. Both of those things are a huge issue when it comes to reusable pens. I could do it, but nobody knows proper pen etiquette and to not take others things. lol
