I love the section. Green washing is without a doubt one of my strongest pet peeves and something that should not be tolerated.

Its an issues I talk, think, and act upon on a daily basis, but I feel the issue has lost some perspective.

I recently wrong a post about why I think green washing has a beneficial purpose (http://tiny.cc/9lWTZ) although it really does anger off and I'm not saying it is good in itself. I sent a tweet @thegoodhuman asking for a response, to which I received this:

@topherwilliams Corporate lying to sell products to unsuspecting shoppers is never good, sorry.

I think we need to stop thinking the world is black and white, good or evil, to my understanding that is very 'George Bushish'. It is completely possible that greenwashing is both a good AND bad thing. The fact that companies are greenwashing shows that the movements is gaining traction and having an impact. The problem with the word green is that there is no definition. The rejection of greenwashing, like in your posts, help to educate why something is not green and in the process establishes a definition. Understanding the greenwashing is part of the process actually makes it more worth it to show why its bullsh$%.

Without a doubt it has become out of control, some reports so 98% of green products are greenwashed. Is this not a huge opportunity to uncover all these lies? Should we not be excited to do this?

Awaiting your response.

Have you done any posting regarding the hacked emails from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University? I think the story came to light about two weeks ago. There seems to have been a coordinated effort to suppress climate data on the part of at least a few scientists.

I do feel bad at times when I pick something that is not as green as I would like. But having a large family, sometimes the cheaper thing wins. As you said these people have a LOT of money and can be green all the time. Yes very upsetting to see that they are not.
