I have been a loyal vintage shopper ever since I was in high school. Fashion, at its core, is about individualism and using clothing/accessories as your palette for expression. Lacking the patience and skills to alter my pieces myself, I employ a tailor who customizes garments I find at thrift stores. The result is a look that is uniquely me, and in the process, keeps many clothes from going into the landfill.

As an addendum, I *would* pay more for a greener shirt. Only by creating a market for such garments can their innovations become mainstream. I'll subsidize sustainable design.
