Do One Thing: Share That Stuff!

For this week’s Do One Thing, I want you to head over to IShareStuff.org and register for an account. When I move to a bigger city, I plan on signing up right away, but for those of you in “populated” areas, you should sign up asap! iShareStuff saves money and reduces waste by helping you share with friends and family. You can register and list the stuff you have to share with others, and peruse lists made by other members to see if there is anything that you would like to borrow. It’s a pretty cool service that I think everyone should be signed up for – no need to use up more materials and spend more money if you can borrow what you need instead!

You can also go to http://freecycle.org/. That’s how I found the Taos group and got rid of a lot of stuff.

  2. Some cities also have tool libraries, where you can check out basic tools with your library card. There’s a list with links here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tool-lending_libraries
