Mind you, we hadn't been canoeing since before we got pregnant with her, so we were out of practice. Somehow, we managed to keep ourselves afloat, though my husband and I couldn't help but share a few choice words with eachother when one hairpin turn and a low lying maple almost swamped our boat.
