Do One Thing: Avoid Using The Toilet As A Trash Can.
This week’s Do One Thing takes place in the bathroom, but not how you would expect. Turns out many people use their toilet as a trash can, throwing in all sorts of stuff – cotton balls, makeup pencil shavings, tissues they used to blow their noses. Using a toilet as a wastebasket wastes water & money, can fill up your septic tank faster, and can contribute to groundwater contamination. To avoid those problems, just put small trash can in the bathroom and empty it with the rest of your regular trash. No more effort but lots of payback!
