The Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska is very involved in many conservation projects. Many animals are regularly rotated out for SSP purposes (especially during Omaha's cold winters). The efforts are widely documented and shared at the various exhibits.

Check their website for more specific info: http://www.omahazoo.com/index.php?p=conservation&s=moleculargenetics&u=programs

This is very interesting.
I had always stayed away from zoo's because I didn't like the idea of animals being caged up. Especially ones that should be out roaming free in their own habitat.
I suppose there are some good programs in place that are actually ufrthering the lives of different species.
This is something that I will have to research even further.
