Solar-Powered Air Conditioner Ready For Prime Time?
GreenCore Air Products has released their solar-powered air conditioning unit which can run off of a single 170 watt solar panel. I guess some people will be saying goodbye to that huge electric bill from cooling their house all summer!

The unit runs on both direct solar power and the battery backup, and you can plug it in at home if the sun doesn’t come out for days on end. However, you only need the equivalent of the energy used by a coffee maker to fully charge the battery, which, I imagine, is a lot less than a typical air conditioning unit. When can I get one?

Wow, that’s amazing, the specs don’t really say how heavy the panels are though… or how much it costs.

Of course not, that would give away too much info Jim! I look forward to finding out how much it will be, though!
