EPA To Avoid Action On Climate Change While Bush Is In Office.
Thankfully, we only have a few more months to get through, but still…really?
“U.S. lawmakers said the Bush administration will reveal it will not take measures to tackle greenhouse gas emissions while the president is in office in a proposal by environmental regulators to be announced on Friday…Lawmakers who saw drafts of the EPA’s advanced notice said the agency will delay rule-making with long comment periods until U.S. President George W. Bush leaves office in January 2009.”
Just goes to show you how closely the EPA and President Bush are tied…right at the hip. Good thing our “Environmental Protection Agency” has done anything but for the last 7.5 years! Oh, and did you see President Bush’s send-off to the G8 Summit members the other day? From The Telegraph:
“The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency for failing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the words: “Goodbye from the world’s biggest polluter.” He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock.”
You won’t see that on the evening news, will you….so very, very sad.
