I’m wondering if anyone has done the research to determine what the correct proportion of various essential oils to water or vinegar would be to do a certain reasonable level of germ cleaning. For instance, you offered “1 tsp tea tree oil to 1 gallon water.” This smells great, but how effective is it compared to 1/2 tsp, or 1 tbs? Has anyone tested different levels? The same question pertains to lavender, rosemary, neem, grapefruit, grapefruit seed extract, clove, cinnamon, and so on. I haven’t found anything on the web yet.

i’d like to hear more about green clothing. my own approach to this is pretty much just the second “R”–reuse (as in, buy mostly used clothing) and reducing my overall consumption, but i’d still be interested in sustainable clothing materials.
