Act2GreenSmart – Laptop Sleeves Made From 100% Recycled Plastic Bottles.
Another great use of those plastic bottles that would otherwise get thrown out every day, act2 Green Smart has come up with a laptop sleeve entirely made out of recycled plastic – and you wouldn’t know it unless someone told you. Yesterday I received the laptop sleeve that fits my iBook and I have to say that this is one nice laptop sleeve. To make the size that I received, it uses 6 16oz plastic bottles and saves 4.335 BTU’s of energy – enough to power my laptop for 51 hours!
Every part of this laptop sleeve is made from recycled materials and it is available in 3 different colors – black, almond and blue. Even the paper tags attached to the new bag are recycled paper and printed with soy inks! The bag I got is almond and it is a very nice light brown color. I think it would make a pretty cool holiday gift for an eco-friendly computer guy (or girl) on your list. Thanks to the people at act2 for sending one along to me – maybe I will give it to my wife for Christmas…that is, until she reads this here.
