Good Human Tip Of The Week – Buy It Used.
Before running out and picking up something that you “just have to have”, try and see if you can get it slightly used from places like Goodwill, Craigslist or Freecycle. I am not talking about getting your socks from there (although you could!), but rather those things that you decide that you would like to own like books, video games, DVD’s, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, etc. Chances are that you can find what you are looking for (or a reasonable facsimile) that someone else has already taken the financial hit on. This way you are both saving money and recycling…it’s a win-win!
