Every war that the US has ever been in has had a large economic/resource reason driving it. If the middle east didn't have tons of oil it would be treated or rather ignored just like Africa is. Everyone knows it but it makes people uncomfortable to talk about it like he said. The only people that this still surprises is incredibly naive people or 19 year old college kids who just took a 100 or 200 level class and are newly "awakened" to the realities of the world. Maybe I'm just a little peeved after talking to a couple college kids over the last few months who act like they thought up the oil/war connection and think they are geniuses and intellectually superior to everyone else why is this such big news that someone in the administration is admitting it?
