The trick here is to find a happy medium between too hot and not hot enough. Excellent tip though for sure. I had a water safety engineer tell me that it's caused bacteria problems for a lot of people. When a water heater is turned up it's too hot for the bacteria to live and is safe but when it gets turned down it can be just about the perfect environment for bacteria to grow. So be careful.
