Good Human Tip Of The Week – Rinse Out Your Recyclables.

Sure, it seems like it makes sense..you should rinse out those cans and bottles before putting them in the recycling bin out back. But a lot of people do not rinse them out, creating quite a headache for the folks running the recycling centers. Turns out that bottles, cans, and plastic that has not been washed off can gum up the works at the centers, and they end up using way more water to clean everything up then you would at home to just do a simple rinse.

So if you rinse already, great. If you don’t, give your recyclables a rinse before sending them out the door!

I would think that if you didn’t rinse it would attract bugs anyway.
