The Toyota Prius Comes With Leather Seats?

prius-leather.jpg

Huh? So one goes out and spends some hard earned cash on a hybrid car because you want to get better gas mileage, pollute less and live a more sustainable life and you get the leather option on the Prius? I am sorry but it just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. I realize that the chemicals used in the fabric seats are not exactly eco-friendly, but skin from a dead animal isn’t really either. I guess I never realized that the Prius even came with a leather option until I saw one yesterday with black leather seats…and a case of bottled water in the trunk. I am afraid to admit it, but the Prius is fast becoming a “look at me” fad and that just sucks.

    1. Hmmm, that’s too bad. I have been a Prius driver for 2 years now. Hate to think people buy Prius to say “look at me”. Luckily I can safely assume that 90% of the Prius drivers aren’t like that. In my little neighborhood there are at least 25 Prius cars. I know most of the owners and in general they are the modest and non-showy kind of people. Don’t despair. Most of us are driving Prius because we love its MPG and its design.

    2. Where do you live Cindy? I am in Southern California where everyone is a “look at me” kind of driver, so I see it more often.
