Not only does it take a lot less time to 'wrap' gifts but they can be reused almost indefinitely. Its become a standing joke to comment on the lovely wrapping as the same gift bags travel back and forth with every birthday and anniversary. We also tend to use the nicest bags for gifts to people that we know we'll probably get the bags back from at some time. Gift bags are a firm favourite in our family now.
