Quick Green Reads For The Weekend Volume Twelve.

It’s that time again, time for a quick jog around the internet. Here are a couple of great stories/articles that caught my eye this week. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  • NASA is predicting that summers on the east coast will be 10 degrees warmer by 2082. Sure, its not in my lifetime (unless a miracle occurs), but it’s already hot and muggy there as it is, I am sure they don’t need to be even hotter. Of course, some people wish winter would be 10 degrees warmer as well….
  • SmartUSA already has over 12,000 reserved FourTwo cars for when they go on sale next year. That is quite an achievement and a sure sign that people are taking the climate crisis seriously. Will I get one? Maybe..but by the time they come out I will probably have a baby so it might not be the best choice for a family car. Maybe a Prius AND a FourTwo would be best.
  • With all the talk of Peak Oil, you might not have heard of Peak Coal. Seems like it could be here in 10 or 15 short years, and then it is all downhill. Honestly, I wish we would run out tomorrow as it is such a huge polluter.
  • Marie over at Green Fertility discusses an article she read about doctors’ hidden motives for prescribing dangerous drugs to kids. This is so scary that I do not even know what to say other than go read it.
