Uk Has Hottest April In 140 Years - How Was Yours?

Just out from the Guardian Unlimited, the UK has wrapped up its hottest April in more than 140 years, with the average daily temperature being 11.1C, handily beating the old record of 10.6C set in 1865. While not a major MAJOR increase, that is a pretty decent sized jump in record temps. Where my mom lives on the east coast they had an abnormally warm winter, and where my mother in law lives in the mid-west it hasn’t been that cold either, compared to previous years. Seems that every year that passes the city I grew up in has less and less snowfall and more and more warm days…it was 82 there the other day which was unheard of for April when I was growing up.

The rest of the studies in the UK also state that the last 12 months might have been the warmest in ten years.

Good thing global warming isn’t real or I might start getting concerned. ;-)
