Bush Has A Massive New Drilling Plan In Off-Limits Water.

I interrupt your lovely weekend to bring you some great news…Bush has a new plan to drill for oil in federally protected waters and some areas in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico. Hurray for new drilling sites!

“The Interior Department will announce a proposal Monday to allow oil and gas drilling in federal waters near Virginia that are currently off-limits and permit new exploration in Alaska’s Bristol Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.”

Oh, and:

“President Bush used his executive power to lift the ban in January. Congress has 60 days to reimpose it, or else drilling preparations could start in Bristol Bay as soon as July 1.”

Executive power…after all, he is the Decider. Go read about the havoc this might wreak on your shores, Virgina!
