Quick Green Reads For The Weekend – Volume Ten.
With summer rapidly approaching here at the beach, it’s almost bathing suit time. To prepare, want to know what I did yesterday? Ate a big bowl of ice cream. Yep, the ladies are going to be staring this year for sure! Enjoy your weekend everyone, but before you do, check out some articles that caught my eye this week.
Kohl’s department store is converting 75% of their stores in California to solar power, starting in May. A step in the right direction, and one that every giant company with a giant flat roof should be doing.
On of my favorite green writers, Jeff McIntire-Strasburg, over at GreenOptions, has debunked a popular myth – Greenland was never green, as a lot of people think.
Virgin Airways wants to go green with biofuel for its entire fleet. That Mr. Branson….
And lastly, some politics for you all:
Former CIA head honcho, George Tenet, has come out swinging against Bush and cronies. In his new book, he says “There was never a serious debate that I know of within the administration about the imminence of the Iraqi threat,” Mr. Tenet writes in a devastating judgment that is likely to be debated for many years. Nor, he adds, “was there ever a significant discussion” about the possibility of containing Iraq without an invasion. No shit, George…We already knew that.
Have a good one!
