Yep, it’s that time again, time for quick green reads! The reason I do these is because while there is a wealth of news about the environment out there, I try not to just regurgitate news all week on this site. So I use this weekly series to highlight some stories that you might not have seen and that I did not cover here all week. Enjoy!

Yahoo has announced that it will be going carbon neutral, including the coverage of all of its employees commutes. Pretty cool! The jury is still out (I am not sure myself) on whether paying to pollute is a good idea, but it is a step in the right direction.

Netflix and Blockbuster not doing it for you? How about a green and socially responsible movie membership site? Iron Weed Films has just introduced this, so you might want to check it out. Looks fantastic.

Did you know that organic food (crops) tend to do better in droughts and floods than food grown with pesticides? Me neither, but I guess it does, and yet another reason to grow and buy organic!

Researchers in Oslo, Norway are saying that the world will have to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent by 2050 in order to even have a chance of curbing global warming in line with European Union goals. Yikes!

Have a good weekend everyone!
