New Pill Stops Cows From Burping And Curbs Global Warming.
Ok, so the title is a bit of a stretch, as if that was all that we had to do to stop global warming, I would put the pills in each cow’s mouth myself! But according to The Guardian, there is a new pill that is plant based (and fist-sized, I may add) called a “bolus” that will cut some of the cow’s methane production and use some of that energy to make glucose in their system instead of releasing the gas. This would allow them to produce more milk, which of course would benefit everyone that drinks it or uses it. Methane gas from cows is the source of about 4% of the greenhouse gas emissions, which seems like a small amount until you take into account that they are COWS!
