Worst Versus Best Air In The Country – Where Do You Live?

Ever walked outside and wondered…”How dirty is my air?”..me neither, but that’s because I can see it and don’t need to wonder about it. Los Angeles baby!

Anyways, I found this list of the highest and lowest ozone concentration in the air, along with the highest and lowest particulate matter concentration. Makes you nervous, doesn’t it?

Highest Ozone Concentration:
Bakersfield
Los Angeles
Visalia, CA
Fresno, CA
Merced, CA
Houston
Sacramento, CA
Dallas – Fort Worth
NYC
Philly

Highest Particulate Matter Concentration:
Los Angeles
Bakersfield
Pitts
Visalia
Fresno
Detroit
Hanford, CA
Cleveland
Birmingham AL
Atlanta

Least Ozone Concentration

Colorado Springs
Daytona Beach, FL
Des Moines
Honolulu
Lakeland, FL
Palm Bay, FL
Port St. Lucie, FL
Salem, OR
Salinas, CA
Spokane

Least Particulate Matter Concentration
Cheyenne, WY
Santa Fe, NM
Honolulu
Great Falls, Montana
Tucson
Anchorage
Farmington, NM
Bismarck, ND
Albuquerque, NM
Rapid City, SD

I see that Los Angeles came in first in highest particulate matter and only second in ozone concentration. Hopefully next year we can be number one! In the meantime, think I can convince the wife to move to Cheyenne, Wyoming?
