		<description>While they do have trace amounts of mercury in them, the rest of the benefits outweigh this amount. That is why these need to be properly recycled and not thrown in the trash like the &quot;old&quot; lightbulbs.  Mercury is bad, no doubt, but so is burning way more fossil fuels than we need to in order to light our houses.  Plus, these bulbs last about 10 years on average, so a lot less of them are being thrown out...I do wish they could do without the mercury though!</description>
