Tim Hardaway Loves Gay People.

Remember when Tom Cruise’s character in Jerry Maguire screamed “I love black people!”. Well, this is just the opposite. Coming as no surprise in that this is the NBA we are talking about here, Tim Hardaway, formerly of the Miami Heat, deemed it necessary to go on the radio and say “I hate gay people”. Nice, huh?

If only Mr. Hardaway had watched and listened to Mr. Cruise in the movie, and seen the affect of loving versus hating. Cruise got the player contract, and Hardaway got removed from representing the NBA at All-Star weekend in Las Vegas.

Other gems from the radio interview?

“You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known. I don’t like gay people and I don’t like to be around gay people,” he said. “I’m homophobic. I don’t like it. It shouldn’t be in the world or in the United States.”

You know, Mr. Hardaway, a while back in history (and to this day in some places in this country), people hated African-Americans too. Can you help it that you are black? Would it be OK for people to hate you because of it?

Grow up you loser.
