Saddam is dead, let’s go home.

Yeah! Saddam is dead! Time to celebrate! Time to party! Bring on the booze!

Come on now….yes, a dictator is dead. And, well, that’s good news I suppose, but at what expense has Saddam been hanged? Almost 3,000 young American soldiers, countless foreign military personnel, and thousands upon thousands of innocent civilians in Iraq have died. If your goal was to get Saddam, NOW the mission is accomplished. If the goal was to destroy an entire country, NOW the mission is accomplished. If the goal was to set straight a grudge that G.W. had against Saddam, NOW the mission is accomplished. The mission you told us we were going in for was a lie, and everyone knows it. So what now?

George, if YOUR mission is finally accomplished, and your arch enemy is now dead, can you please start bringing our troops home? I understand you cannot pull everyone out next weekend, because if we thought Iraq is bad today, it would be much worse if we just left all at once. But it seems that you finally accomplished the true reason for invading Iraq and it is time to start bringing our brave troops home.
