Did you know the Grand Canyon is only like 6,000 years old?

According to Bush administration officials, that is what they want the National Park Service to tell us when we come along to visit the Grand Canyon. Well, isn’t that nice! Now I can finally tell all my friends that it was indeed the Great Flood that caused it and somehow Noah made it through in his ark.

This is just…crazy talk. Whether you believe in God, Jesus, Noah or nothing, how can anyone actually believe this stuff?

“Grand Canyon National Park is not permitted to give an official estimate of the geologic age of its principal feature, due to pressure from Bush administration appointees. Despite promising a prompt review of its approval for a book claiming the Grand Canyon was created by Noah’s flood rather than by geologic forces, more than three years later no review has ever been done and the book remains on sale at the park”

That must have been ONE HELL OF A FLOOD I tell ya!

“In order to avoid offending religious fundamentalists, our National Park Service is under orders to suspend its belief in geology,” stated PEER Executive Director Jeff Ruch. “It is disconcerting that the official position of a national park as to the geologic age of the Grand Canyon is ‘no comment.’”

Oh sweet Jesus…this is just begging for a Saturday Night Live skit….if Lorne Michaels is reading, PLEASE turn this into something great on the show. I am urging you to act fast in the interest of national security to tell the world that George Bush thinks Noah’s flood caused the Grand Canyon to form. Please.

    From an old SNL skit:

“A Supreme Court in Georgia ruled that high school biology teachers were permitted to continue using the term ‘evolution’ when teaching their classes. However as a compromise, they must now refer to dinosaurs as ‘jesus horses’.”

  2. Sorry, that comment was from me. Not sure what happened.

I was trying to figure out who that was, so thanks thanks for letting me know. I dont remember that skit but its pretty much what they need to do now with this new “revelation”.
