Seattle Prius Gets Over 100+ MPG
Seems Ryan Fulcher of Seattle likes saving money on gas and reducing the pollutants from his car. You see, he just had another battery put in his Prius, which allows the car to use only battery power for the first 30 miles it is driven, before switching over to gasoline. So, at low speeds, he figures he can get 100′s of miles per gallon now. That is pretty cool, I must say. If I had that car, I could drive to and from work without using any gasoline for the day, and just plug it in at night. I know I have said before that I dont think EV cars are the wave of the future, as they still need a carbon based fuel to make the electricity (until someone develops a super-efficient solar array), but I know we need to do what we can now, and this is just great.
