Hercules Beats Walmart
Another one bites the dust. Wal-mart, that is. Another town has taken on the retailing giant and won, and this town happens to be named Hercules. Hercules plans on marketing itself as the “anti-suburb” as they try to re-invent the work/live city and they have no need for a giant concrete box selling socks for a nickel and caustic cleaning supplies for a dime.
Its always nice see people pulling together to stop these giant box stores from invading their town and shutting down the Mom and Pop stores. I hope we hear more and more of this stuff in the future.
